fullmoon1, an app to chat with private and local large language models like Llama, is now available on the App Store.2
Making Llama More Accessible
In a previous post by the same name, we believe there’s an opportunity to make models like Llama more accessible to everyone. Right now, the ability to interface directly with these models are mostly limited to developers.
For Mainframe, this means taking the small and mighty Llama 3.2 series of edge models and bridging the gap with a simple app experience that’s intuitive and easy. And with something that’s completely free to use and open source.
We’re optimistic that the Llama series will continue to improve and become increasingly capable, so you can expect all future models optimized for edge devices to be adopted by fullmoon.
Available on iOS, macOS, and visionOS
fullmoon is optimized and compatible with all major Apple platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro.
After testing and improving with over 3,500 beta testers on TestFlight for the last few months, we’re excited to let anyone install and use models like Llama for free.
The name fullmoon is a nod to “LLM”, or Large Language Model. (fuLLMoon)
